iCleanse Announces Availability of its New Disinfecting Docking Station

iCleanse Announces Availability of its New Platform for Secure Storage, Charging and Chemical-Free Disinfection of iPads and TabletPCs.

New Orleans, LA (March 3, 2013) – At the HIMSS 2013 Annual Conference and Exhibition BOOTH 3879, iCleanse will announce the immediate availability of the company’s new hardware and software platform that provides secure storage, charging and chemical-free disinfection of iPads and TabletPCs.

“The introduction of tablets into the clinical environment has created a mobile, high-touch surface that we need to pay attention to.” said Louise-Marie Dembry, MD, MS, MBA, Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. In a medical setting, these mobile devices can serve as “reservoirs for certain microorganisms that can cause infections in patients and health care workers.”

Accordingly, these devices require frequent disinfection. Chemical disinfection of a tablet can take up to 15 minutes (per typical disinfection policies), but iCleanse’s patented technology does the job in less than a minute without chemicals.

“The new iCleanse platform is the result of over 10 years of customer feedback and collaboration with microbiologists and engineers. Patient-centric applications that put iPads and other tablets in the hands of patients need a process to insure they are disinfected in-between patient use; iCleanse provides that process automatically.” said David Engelhardt, Founder and President of iCleanse “iCleanse is committed to delivering modular, clinically validated and easy-to-use solutions. Customers will now be able to securely store, charge, and disinfect their devices all in a simple one-step process.” said Engelhardt.
